Ákos Hutter

Architect
Ákos Hutter is an associate professor and the leader of the Institute of Architecture at the University of Pécs, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology in Pécs, Hungary. He has been full time faculty since 2001 at the University of Pécs, where he teaches building design, interior design and final project in the ArchBSc and ArchMSc programs. He is thesis advisor at the Marcel Breuer Doctorate School where his main topics are the contemporary architecture in historical environment and the social architecture. He was involved in the development of the Architecture Minor Program at the Metropolitan State University of Denver, Co, United States. His courses were Introduction to Architecture and Building Structures at the MSU Denver in the fall semester, 2014. Some selected projects from his design portfolio are the Research Centre at the University of Pécs and the award winning Hungarian Pavilion design to the Milano Expo in 2015.
Zeynep Halu

Zeynep Halu completed her Bachelor’s studies in the Architecture Department of İstanbul Technical University. She got her master’s degree and PhD from ITU Faculty of Architecure, Architectural Design Program. During her graduation studies she was a visiting researcher in TU Dresden as a DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) scholar. Her research interests focus on architectural design, human activities in urban space, walkability, architectural morphology, design education and design methods. She was a visiting researcher in the Project for Public Spaces (PPS) organization which was dedicated to helping people create and sustain public spaces. Besides her prize winner design projects mostly focused from urban scale to architectural scale she is interested with the intersection of all fragments. She has national and international publications, including translations, considering urban space, walkability, housing, design methods and design education issues. Dr. Halu is still teachning in Yeditepe University Faculty of Architecture both at undergraduate and graduate level.
